Finally iOS8 is released for all users but many are facing issues with memory while upgrading to iOS as strangely 1.1GB of update requires 5.8Gb free space on device which is breaking dreams of many who want to upgrade .So don't feel annoyed  you don't need to free up space just upgrade your device  using iTunes (Make sure you have latest version of iTunes) by following below steps.

1. Install the latest version of iTunes on your computer.
2. Plug in your device to your computer.
3. In iTunes, select your device. 
4. In the Summary pane, click Check for Update.
5. Click Download and Update.

With the official release of iOS 7 many of people are wondering how to move to iOS 7 official release specially those who are not actual iOS developers . Unfortunately people who are on beta are not allowed to simply upgrade to iOS7 official release so they have to follow below procedure.
1. Download the iOS 7 official release. ipsw. from your developer account as shown in left panel .People who are not developers they need to get copies of ios7 official release by any other sources.

2. Plug your iPhone/iPad into a computer and open iTunes.

3. Take a complete backup of device.

4. In iTunes click on the iPhone option in the upper right and when you see the Restore and Upgrade options you are on the right screen.(See snap on left )

5. Click check for updates holding shift key on windows or  alt and option key together in case of mac.

6. Navigate to the downloaded .ipsw file and click.select it.

7. Complete the  iOS 7 upgrade  

8. After completion of restore you will be on official iOS7

SAP invested in the MDM market to support its customers and partners in the pursuit of mobilizing their employees by managing devices, applications and content. SAP acquired mobile management, application development and security technologies from Sybase and has expanded development of MDM under the Afaria name. SAP emphasizes scalability, integration, application development and usability as primary objectives, but also has critical security and management features in place. It recently increased certificate management and updated its directory integration capabilities. SAP also has a strong enterprise presence and cross-sells Afaria with a mobile application development platform through a global direct sales team. Since our last Magic Quadrant research, SAP also signed and executed a substantial OEM deal for Afaria with CA Technologies (the first of its kind with a leading system management player), and expanded its position in the telecom/value-added reseller (VAR) area by licensing Afaria to Ingram Micro, the world's largest technology distributor. SAP is positioned in the Leaders quadrant in the Magic Quadrant, and should be considered by companies that invest in new and existing SAP products and services, and those that can benefit from tighter linkages between application development tools and MDM platforms. Strengths

Cautions

• Buyers that do not have or want long-term investments in SAP's larger framework might find that even a modest investment in Afaria might lead to trade-offs against opportunities for increasing functionality, although SAP has demonstrated faster innovation during this past year.
• SAP has some challenges selling Afaria stand-alone in competitive MDM deals. Gartner expects that SAP will move to offer an aggressively priced per-device commercial model for stand-alone MDM cloud services to eliminate barriers to entry — a move that will reduce margins and fuel further price competition around core MDM functionality.

With every day evolving technologies and innovations .I believe it’s getting tough for anyone to cope up with the technological changes so deploying any mobility technology is considered as a risk specially for the corporate who is purchasing it from small vendors who might not be able to adopt changes as fast as the market is changing. So what you think is it end of life notice for small players and leading vendors like SAP who have acquired two leading mobility vendors i.e. Syclo and Sybase and jumped to number one in Mobility domain with a strong standing of being only one to give complete  End to end mobility offerings will be the one who will survive or they will be also at risk? Oracle is also jumping into competition with complete mobility platform .

I believe SAP will remain at strong position and leader for long time as they are the one with most open vision and strength of two key mobility players with them (Sybase and Syclo) and will be able to kill the completion very fast unless oracle or anyone else really come up with the real competitive solution at better prices else to compete with Afaria,SUP and Agentry is not easy.

I thought it would be useful for people to put together a short briefing on what you should consider before buying an iPhone 5 in UAE as with the launch of the iPhone 5, Apple has made a change to its usual 2 model approach and has added a third model in order to manage all the different LTE / 4G frequencies available in world.
4G networks around the globe are not being built on a single standard as it was the case with GSM and earlier technologies, This means that devices needs chips to talk to multiple frequencies available around the world but Apple’s solution to this is launch two different GSM compatible models with compatibility with different 4G networks but both of them continue to work on 2G / 3G networks globally in usual way.

Model 1429 (GSM) will be the right device of choice for UAE users in particular and ME users in general as its supports 1800 frequency which is used by DU and Etisalat . This model is generally compatible with whole Europe and in Asia.

Model 1428 (GSM) is being sold in the US & Canada and will work with most LTE networks out there which is based on 700 frequency. These devices won't function with LTE networks in the UAE. But you will find vendors offering this model at lower prices in UAE  and consumers due to lack of awareness will end up buying model which will not allow them to connect to LTE network in future

Model 1429 (CDMA) is a completely different technology and won't work with GSM networks at all. Don't look into it even and be careful don’t be fooled with this model as model number is same as GSM version.

So be careful which model you are buying and from whom you are buying and you are buying right GSM version.

It will be several years before a majority have a grip on bring-your-own-devices and related demands, says Gartner analyst
Though BYOD is talk of town but I still feel that it will take time for people to adopt this as its still hard for people to agree to bring there own device into any MDM control and there is always fears behind this over access of personal data. Virtualization concept which is claimed to be introduced by SAP in 2013 may bring some relief but Rapidly changing technology may not allow MDM vendors to be in peace and BYOD will remain a challenge for organizations in 2013 as well.So COPE (Corporate owned, personally enabled) will be easy way forward but definitely will lack user demand for diversity of devices but definitely COPE can be secure alternative for coorporates.
